MEET OUR PARTNERS

G. KEVIN CALLAHAN, ESQ.

Kevin has been a partner in this firm since its inception in 1997.  He has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate law representing clients in purchases, sales, new construction, land development and 1031 exchanges.  His practice also includes representation of clients with wills and estates, land use and general business matters.

Kevin is a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association and was president of the Sea Girt Chamber of Commerce from 2001 to 2019.  He is a member of the Brielle Planning Board and serves on the Advisory Board of the Manasquan High School Academy of Finance, a business mentoring program.  He was also on the Board of Trustees of the Central Jersey Blood Center from 2012 to 2018.

From 1972 through 1992 Kevin was associated, and eventually a partner, with Sutton, Heim, Callahan, Rhineheimer & Krug in Toms River.  He represented, among others, the First National Bank of Toms River in all aspects of its corporate operations including the expansion of its branches from 13 to 60, overseeing all of its residential and commercial mortgage loans. 

In 1992 Kevin joined the law firm of Monte & Marriott as “Of Counsel” in Sea Girt, adding his areas of expertise to that firm’s defense practices.

Kevin is a graduate of St. Benedict’s Prep. and received his B.S. from Seton Hall University in 1967 and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1970.  He served as the Law Secretary to the Hon. John F. Crane, A.J.S.C. in Passaic County from 1970 to 1971.  Kevin was admitted to the bar in 1970 for New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.  In 1977 he was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and in 1985 to the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

MARGARET L. BLAIR, ESQ.

Margaret has been a partner in MC&B since its inception in 1997.  Margaret has a wide range of experience from litigation and trial work to general practice work and real estate. For many years Margaret specialized in litigation, defending personal injury suits and large construction and property damage claims.  Currently, she practices primarily in the areas of wills, estates and residential real estate sales and purchases.

Margaret, a life-long resident of the Jersey Shore, has been practicing law since 1983. She was an associate with the law firm of Chamlin Schottland, Rose, Cavanagh & Uliano, in Long Branch, NJ, from 1983 to 1985, where she handled a variety of litigation matters. 

From 1986 to 1987 she practiced in Hampton, Virginia at a small general practice firm. In 1987 she joined the firm of Monte & Marriott, in Sea Girt, as a litigation associate.

Margaret graduated from Rutgers College in 1980.  She received her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1983. She received her license to practice law in New Jersey and the Federal Courts in New Jersey in 1983.  She has also maintained an associate license to practice in Virginia since 1987.

Margaret is currently a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Monmouth County Bar Association.  She was previously an Arbitrator with the NJ Mandatory Arbitration Program for many years.

During her spare time, Margaret enjoys walking our local boardwalks, reading on the beach and dancing at the Spring Lake School of Dance.
