RICHARD D. ALJIAN, JR., ESQ.

Richard D. Aljian, Jr., has been Of Counsel with the firm since 2009.  Richard specializes in workers’ compensation, municipal court, and criminal matters.  He has vast courtroom experience in these types of matters and has appeared in these courts throughout the State of New Jersey. 

Richard is a local resident who has worked as a lifeguard on the Sea Girt Beaches for 36 years.  Known to many around town as “Ace”, he is actively involved in local community groups including Rotary International and serving as a trustee for the Sea Girt Lighthouse and Sea Girt Fire Department. 

Richard received his B.A. from Indiana University in 1969 and his J.D. from Suffolk University in 1972.  Richard was admitted to the bar of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1972.  He was a N.J. Public Defender for the Essex County Trial Region, Newark, NJ, from 1973 to 1987. 

JAMES J. KINNEALLY, III, ESQ.

James J. Kinneally, III, has been counsel with the firm since 2011.  Jim has many years of experience handling all types of litigation including personal injury, workers’ compensation, municipal and landlord/tenant.  Jim has extensive experience representing clients in land use matters in several local towns, residential real estate purchases and sales, municipal court matters and a variety of litigation matters.

For several years, Jim has been Planning Board Attorney for the Borough of Spotswood and Borough of Helmetta and the Zoning Board Attorney for the Township of Piscataway.  For many years he was Zoning Board Attorney for South River and as Manasquan Municipal Attorney.  He has extensive experience in municipal law, Title 59 and planning and zoning law.  Jim has also handled insurance defense litigation, Title 59 defense, auto negligence, premises liability and workers’ compensation.

Jim received his B.A. in Political Science and B.S. in Economics from Mount Saint Mary’s College in 1984 and his J.D. from Washington College of Law, American University in 1987.  He was admitted to the bar of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1987.  He was also admitted to the bar of the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals in 2001.  Jim was the Law Secretary to the Hon. Florence R. Peskoe, J.S.C. in Monmouth County from 1987 to 1988.
